Hey all! How are you? It’s now one week into December, and I’m finally posting about things I started in October! Hahaha.
As many people know, in October a lot of artists participate in Inktober, which is a list of daily drawing prompts created by Jake Parker to inspire the creation of small works every day for one month, drawn in ink. This started about ten years ago, and now, a ton of people make their own prompt lists for the spooky season, following different themes and mediums. This year, I chose to make my own list of prompts – mushrooms – which I called Mushtober! I had several people join me on Instagram under the hashtag #mushtober, which was quite exciting! I loved seeing everyone’s work!
I chose to draw my mushrooms in watercolour live on stream, and selected my/my viewers’ faves to turn into my very first professionally printed sticker sheets! So exciting! Stickers are now available in my shop in addition to some super cute sleepy animal brooches, and a few random miniature projects that I started a few years ago (my 2021 New Years’ resolution is to finish the things I start, and I’ve started early with older projects that I’ve unearthed)!!

The contemporary planter was 3D printed in our little workshop a few years back, and I finally made a plant to go inside it. The planters themselves are available for purchase on their own, too! The little fennec fox doll was a custom item that was requested by a customer a while back. I ended up making two, but never finished this one! So, in the spirit of chipping away at things – I painted him up, and he’s ready for adoption. The little sleepy animal brooches are a newer product that I sculpted in polymer clay, and hand-decorated with foods that each animal would eat in the wild! I absolutely love these little guys – So sweet!
In other news, if you’ve been following me on Tiktok or Instagram, you’ve seen my video of our first run with our new laser cutter! I finally caved and pulled the trigger, because it was just SO prohibitively expensive to pay people to laser cut things for me. It was worth it! I’m so excited to start cranking out the little miniature kits I’ve designed. I have several designs that have just been sitting on my computer for years because it cost too much to get them made. Stay tuned, folks!
I try to keep this blog updated, but it’s definitely more of an overview a few times a year. You can follow me on Instagram and Tiktok for the latest updates!~
